The options below are our most commonly used timbers for stair treads. Other hardwoods, such as USA Ash or Maple, are also used. We also offer prefabricated European Oak treads to offer more cost effective option to USA Oak with shorter lead times. 

Our solid timber stair treads are expertly crafted to showcase each natural grain and texture, bringing warmth and unique character to your home.

Timber Stair Tread Features

Stair treads often need special features to add to their function or aesthetic. We can rebate for steel work, groove for LED lighting, rebate and supply anti-slip insert. Easily customisable to suit your needs.

Stair Tread Thickness

Standard thickness is 90mm, being the most suitable thickness to fit the rise of most stairways. Steps can be crafted from 40mm to 120 mm thick to suit any design.

It also offers excellent anti-slip properties, making it a trusted choice for timber flooring and stair applications alike.

 

In addition, the timber treads can be stained in our range of standard colours, or custom stained to match your existing flooring, ensuring a cohesive look throughout your home.
